Cavo in fibra ottica Goobay 50/125 (OM3) LC-LC 20 m

The Goobay 50/125 (OM3) LC-LC 20m fibre optic cable is a multimode duplex cable with a 50 µm core designed for high-speed data transmission in offices, industrial environments and data centres. It comes with LC duplex connectors on both ends, each protected by a dust cover, and the outer sheath is halogen-free and flame-retardant. Each cable is supplied with a test protocol confirming performance and supported transmission ranges for common Ethernet speeds.

Advantages

This LC-LC fibre cable supports OM3 multimode performance and full duplex transmission over a 20 m length, providing reliable connections for network equipment. The halogen-free, flame-retardant sheath improves safety in enclosed spaces, while pre-installed dust covers protect connector ferrules. Supplied test documentation verifies link quality and supported distances.

Suitable for

• Office network links between switches, servers and workstations
• Data centre patching and cross-connects
• Industrial network installations requiring halogen-free cabling
• High-speed Ethernet links (10 Mbit/s up to 10 Gbit/s depending on OM class and distance)

Key specifications

• Type: Multimode duplex fibre optic cable (50/125 µm)
• OM class: OM3
• Connector: LC duplex — both ends (with protective dust cover)
• Length: 20 m
• Cable sheath: Halogen-free, flame-retardant
• Includes: Test protocol
• Supported maximum transmission ranges (typical): 100 Mbit/s — 500 m; 1 Gbit/s — OM3: 1100 m; 10 Gbit/s — OM3: 300 m

How to use

Unpack the cable and remove the protective dust covers from the LC connectors prior to insertion. Align the LC duplex connector with the device port and insert until it clicks; secure both ends to the corresponding LC ports on network devices. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the recommended minimum bend radius for multimode fibre to preserve signal performance. After installation, verify the link using the supplied test protocol or network equipment diagnostics.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this OM3 LC-LC cable for short to medium runs within buildings and data centres; avoid excessive bending and tensile strain, and store dust covers when connectors are not in use. Select the appropriate OM class if longer distances or higher 10 Gbit/s ranges are required (OM4 offers greater 10 Gbit/s reach).
