ACT Cavo in fibra ottica singlemode 9/125 OS2 per interni/esterni 10 m, 8 fibre, LC-LC (RL4101)

Network technicians deploying backbone links between buildings or across floors need a reliable fiber run that withstands both indoor and outdoor conditions. This ACT RL4101 cable delivers 10 meters of OS2 singlemode fiber with eight individual 9/125 µm cores, pre-terminated with LC connectors on both ends. The yellow jacket identifies it as singlemode, and the rugged construction supports direct outdoor installation without additional conduit in many scenarios.

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Singlemode OS2, 9/125 µm core/cladding
• Fiber count: 8 fibers
• Connectors: 8x LC to 8x LC
• Length: 10 meters
• Jacket colour: Yellow
• Application: Indoor/outdoor
• Supported wavelengths: 1310 nm, 1550 nm
• Maximum attenuation: 0.35 dB/km @ 1310 nm, 0.25 dB/km @ 1550 nm
• Data rate: Up to 100 Gigabit Ethernet and beyond

Why choose it

Pre-terminated LC connectors eliminate field polishing and splicing, saving installation time and reducing failure points. OS2 fiber supports long-distance, high-bandwidth links, making this cable suitable for campus backbones, data center interconnects, and enterprise networks. The indoor/outdoor rating provides flexibility for diverse routing paths.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting switches or patch panels in different buildings
• High-speed backbone links in campus or industrial environments
• Data center cross-connects requiring multiple fiber pairs

Good to know

Singlemode fiber requires compatible OS2 optics and equipment. The 8-fiber design allows for parallel transmission or redundancy. Ensure bend radius guidelines are followed during installation to maintain performance.
