ACT cavo patch in fibra ottica multimodale 50/125 OM3 duplex corazzato 15 m con connettori LC

The ACT 15 meter multimode 50/125 OM3 duplex armored fiber patch cable with LC connectors is designed for high-speed duplex data transmission in environments where cables may be exposed to physical stress. The cable uses a 50 µm core multimode OM3 fiber and durable LC connectors to ensure consistent signal performance. The metal armored jacket provides enhanced protection against crushing, abrasion and other mechanical damage, increasing reliability and service life in industrial, outdoor or harsh settings.

Advantages

The armored construction gives superior mechanical protection compared to standard patchcords, reducing the risk of damage from impact, rodent activity or compression. Using OM3 multimode fiber supports high-bandwidth short-range links and the duplex LC connectors enable compact, reliable connections for network equipment. The 15 meter length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or room-to-room connections while maintaining signal integrity.

How to use

Inspect connector end faces for cleanliness before installation and clean if necessary. Route the armored patch cable along the planned path, avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension; respect the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for OM3 multimode fiber. Terminate by inserting LC connectors into the corresponding LC ports on network devices, ensuring secure latching. Secure the cable with appropriate clamps or trays designed to accept armored cables to prevent movement and mechanical stress.

Recommendations

Use armored patch cables in locations where physical protection is required; for purely indoor office environments without mechanical hazards, a standard non-armored OM3 patchcord is typically sufficient. Regularly inspect connectors and armor integrity and replace the cable if the armor or fiber shows signs of damage.
