ACT Viola 3 m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A cavo patch slimline datacenter snagless con connettori RJ45

The ACT Purple 3 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A datacenter slimline patch cable is a 3 m Ethernet cable with RJ45 connectors designed for high-speed data transmission in datacenters and network cabinets. Its slimline construction (approximately 3.8 mm diameter) and U/FTP shielding provide reduced diameter and improved interference protection compared with standard CAT6A cables, enabling better airflow in server racks and compact installation in tight spaces. The cable has a low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) jacket and gold-plated contacts for reliable connections.

Advantages

The slimline 3.8 mm diameter reduces cable bulk and allows denser cable routing and improved rack airflow versus regular 5.9 mm CAT6A patch cords. U/FTP shielding helps protect against external interference and maintains signal integrity in sensitive environments. Snagless RJ45 connectors and gold-plated contacts provide secure, corrosion-resistant terminations. The LSZH jacket limits harmful smoke and halogen emissions in case of fire.

Suitable for

• Datacenter patching and top-of-rack connections
• Dense cable installations in network cabinets and server racks
• Environments requiring reduced smoke and halogen emissions
• Applications needing shielded cabling to reduce EMI

Key specifications

• Cable type: U/FTP CAT6A slimline patch cable

How to use

Connect one RJ45 connector to the network device or switch port and the other to the target device or patch panel. Route the slimline cable through the rack or cabinet as needed, maintaining bend radii appropriate for CAT6A cables. For PoE deployments, follow bundling guidance to avoid excessive temperature rise; use the slimline cable like a standard patch cord but ensure connectors are fully seated and secured.

Recommendations

ISO/IEC and TIA standards typically reference 22–26 AWG patch cords; ACT slimline cables use a smaller conductor and higher attenuation is possible, especially at higher frequencies. For PoE applications ACT advises a maximum bundle size of 24 cables to limit temperature increase; ANSI TSB-184-A recommends keeping temperature rise of the center cable below 15 °C above ambient.
