ACT Viola 7 m LSZH U/FTP CAT6A cavo patch slimline datacenter snagless con connettori RJ45

The ACT Purple 7 meter LSZH U/FTP CAT6A datacenter slimline patch cable with snagless RJ45 connectors is a slim, low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) network cable designed for high-density datacenter and network cabinet installations. Its 3.8 mm diameter slimline construction reduces bundle bulk and improves airflow compared with standard 5.9 mm CAT6A patch cords. The cable supports CAT6A performance with U/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ45 contacts for reliable high-speed data transmission.

Advantages

The slimline 3.8 mm diameter reduces occupied space in racks and allows a smaller bending radius, improving cable routing and airflow inside server cabinets. LSZH jacket material limits toxic and corrosive gas emission in case of fire. Snagless RJ45 connectors and gold-plated contacts provide secure mating and corrosion resistance. U/FTP shielding helps control crosstalk and electromagnetic interference for stable high-frequency performance.

Suitable for

• Datacenter patching and high-density network cabinets
• Server racks where improved airflow is needed
• Short- to medium-length links requiring CAT6A performance
• Environments where LSZH jacket material is preferred for safety

Key specifications

• Length: 7 m
• Category: CAT6A
• Construction: U/FTP (overall unshielded with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Cable diameter: 3.8 mm (slimline)
• Connectors: RJ‑45 to RJ‑45, snagless
• Contacts: gold-plated
• Jacket: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Colour: Purple

How to use

Route the slimline patch cable between network equipment ports or patch panels and switch ports, taking advantage of its reduced diameter to organize cables tightly in high-density areas. Insert RJ45 plugs fully until the latch clicks to ensure proper contact. Avoid sharp bends tighter than the specified bending radius for CAT6A slimline cables and do not exceed recommended pull forces when dressing the cable.

Recommendations

While ISO/IEC and TIA standards typically specify patch cords in the 22–26 AWG range, this slimline cable uses thinner conductors (similar to 32 AWG) which increases attenuation, especially at higher frequencies. For Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployments, ACT advises bundling no more than 24 slimline cables to limit temperature rise; ANSI TSB-184-A recommends keeping the temperature increase of the centre cable in a bundle below 15 °C above ambient.
