BlueOptics AC-SFP+-VKMM-3M-BO cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand 3m SFP+ maschio

The BlueOptics AC-SFP+-VKMM-3M-BO InfiniBand Fibre Optic Cable 3m SFP+ Male is a 3‑metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ male connectors on both ends designed for short‑reach high‑speed links. Built to industry multi‑source agreement (MSA) SFP+ form factors, this cable integrates transmitter and receiver modules at each end and uses multimode fibre to carry optical signals for 10 Gigabit applications over a 3 m channel. It is intended for use in data centre and networking equipment that support SFP+ AOC connectivity and provides a compact, lightweight alternative to separate transceivers plus patch fibre.

Advantages

The AOC design reduces cabling bulk and eliminates the need for separate transceivers and fibre patch cords while maintaining 10G data rates. With SFP+ male connectors on both ends and multimode optics optimized for short‑reach links, the cable offers consistent optical performance and electrical compatibility with standard SFP+ ports that accept AOC modules. Its 3 m length is useful for rack‑to‑rack or device‑to‑device connections inside equipment cabinets and short spans in networking racks.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections between switches, routers and servers within racks
• Short‑reach storage interconnects and Fibre Channel over Ethernet links up to 10G
• High‑density data centre patching where low weight and reduced cabling are required

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ male to SFP+ male
• Length: 3 metres
• Optical type: Active Optical Cable with multimode fibre
• Supported link speed: up to 10 Gbps
• Form factor: SFP+ compatible (MSA compliant)

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector firmly into the corresponding SFP+ port on the connected devices until the module latches. Ensure the devices are powered according to the manufacturer recommendations and that the ports are enabled and configured for 10G or the appropriate protocol (Ethernet, FCoE, or SDH/SONET). No separate transceivers or fibre patch cords are required; the integrated transmitter and receiver provide the optical link. Verify link status indicators on both devices to confirm a successful connection.

Recommendations

Use this 3 m BlueOptics SFP+ AOC for short‑reach connections inside racks and equipment cabinets. Avoid tight bends and mechanical stress on the cable; maintain gentle bend radii consistent with multimode fibre handling. Confirm device compatibility with SFP+ AOC modules and test the link after installation. For environments requiring longer distances or single‑mode links, select an appropriate cable type.
