BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-SC-10M-BO aqua cavo in fibra ottica 10m SC SC

The BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-SC-10M-BO Aqua Fibre Optic Cable 10m SC SC is a 10-metre OM3 multi-mode patch cable with SC/UPC connectors on both ends. Designed for high-speed data transmission, this Aqua-coloured cable supports full duplex communication and is intended for use in structured networks, data centres and server rooms. The cable uses laser-optimized OM3 multimode fiber and is sleeved in a low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) jacket for reduced hazard in enclosed spaces. Each cable is factory-tested with interferometry and OTDR to ensure low insertion loss and high return loss, and supplied with measured input and return loss values.

Advantages

The cable provides reliable optical performance with low attenuation and consistent return loss values, suitable for high-bandwidth multimode links. Use of branded fiber and precision connectors ensures repeatable, loss-minimised connections and a long connector mating life. The LSZH sheath improves safety in installations where reduced smoke and no halogen emissions are required. Factory testing and supplied measurement protocols give traceable quality assurance for professional installations.

How to use

Route the BlueOptics OM3 SC‑SC cable between the two ports to be connected, avoiding sharp bends and mechanical stress on the connectors. Insert each SC connector into the matching SC port until it clicks into place; ensure correct polarity for duplex links. For best performance, keep endfaces clean and protected with dust caps until installation. If cleaning is required before mating, use approved fibre cleaning tools and follow manufacturer procedures to avoid damaging the zirconia ferrules. After installation, verify link performance with appropriate optical test equipment using the supplied measurement protocol as a baseline.

Recommendations

To maintain optimal signal quality, avoid bending the cable beyond the recommended minimum bend radius, keep connectors capped when not in use, and verify insertion and return loss after installation. For critical links, compare post-installation OTDR and insertion loss measurements with the supplied factory report and, where necessary, perform connector polishing or cleaning according to industry practice.
