Cavo ottico attivo CBO SFP28-AOC-10M per porte SFP28, 10 m

Active Optical Cable CBO SFP28-AOC-10M for SFP28 ports, 10 m is a factory-terminated AOC designed for direct connection into SFP28 ports. It provides a compact, low-power optical link for 25Gb/s SFP28 interfaces and removes the need for separate transceivers and fiber patch cords. The 10 m length suits short-distance interconnects between servers, switches and storage equipment in data center racks and top-of-rack deployments where a reliable, high-speed connection is required.

Advantages

This Active Optical Cable offers a plug-and-play solution that simplifies link setup and reduces component count compared with separate transceivers and patch cords. The integrated design lowers power consumption at the link endpoints, saves rack space and eliminates field termination. Its 25Gb/s SFP28 compatibility ensures support for high-throughput applications while maintaining signal integrity over the specified 10 m distance.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25Gb/s connections between servers and switches in data centers
• Top-of-rack and middle-of-row interconnects where pre-terminated cable is preferred
• Direct attach between storage arrays and host cards with SFP28 ports
• Environments requiring compact, low-power optical links without additional transceivers

Key specifications

• Interface type: compatible with SFP28 ports for 25Gb/s links
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC) with factory-terminated connectors
• Length: 10 meters
• Typical use: short-distance rack and row interconnects in data centers
• Design focus: compact form factor and reduced power consumption compared to discrete transceiver plus patch cord solutions

How to use

Insert each end of the Active Optical Cable into the SFP28 ports on the devices to be connected, ensuring the module latches are engaged. No separate transceivers or fibre patch cords are required. After physical installation, verify link status and speed on both endpoints and configure network settings as required by your environment. Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends near the connectors during routing.

Recommendations

Use this AOC in clean rack environments, avoid excessive bending radii, and confirm compatibility with your devices' SFP28 port firmware or vendor compatibility lists when precise interoperability information is required.
