Cavo ottico attivo AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q30M 30 m, CBO SFP28-AOC-30M-MV-BO

AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q30M 30 m active optical cable provides a factory-terminated SFP28 form-factor fiber link designed for 25 Gb/s short-reach interconnects. The cable integrates optical transceivers with a fixed duplex fiber connection in a single assembly, enabling a direct, low-power connection between switches, servers and other network devices without separate pluggable modules. Its 30 m length supports flexible placement in data center racks, cable trays and structured cabling pathways while maintaining signal integrity for 25GbE links.

Advantages

The active optical design reduces electrical noise and heat compared with copper alternatives and lowers power consumption by eliminating separate transceivers. A factory-terminated SFP28 connector ensures consistent optical performance and reduces installation steps and failure points. The 30 m cable offers extended reach for intra-rack and short inter-rack links while keeping cable bulk and weight minimal. Compatibility with SFP28 ports simplifies deployment in existing 25 GbE environments.

Suitable for

• 25 GbE switch-to-switch links in data center topologies
• Server-to-switch connections in rack and row deployments
• Short-reach inter-rack or cross-rack connectivity up to 30 m
• Environments requiring lower power and reduced heat compared to DACs

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28 active optical cable (integrated transceivers)
• Data rate: up to 25 Gigabit per second
• Length: 30 meters
• Connector: SFP28 duplex interface on each end
• Transmission medium: single-mode or multimode optical fiber as implemented in the assembly
• Typical use: short-reach data center interconnects and server links

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into compatible 25GbE SFP28 ports until the module latches. Verify link status on connected devices and ensure port configuration matches 25GbE operation. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; follow equipment vendor bend-radius recommendations. For troubleshooting, swap ports or test with known-good SFP28 ports to isolate link or configuration issues.

Recommendations

Use this active optical cable for reliable short-reach 25GbE connections where fixed, low-power optical interconnects are preferred. Maintain appropriate bend radius, avoid sharp kinks, and verify port compatibility and transceiver acceptance policies of your network equipment before deployment.
