Cavo patch in fibra ottica duplex CBO LC Uniboot OM5 fibra multimodale

The CBO Duplex LWL Patch Cable LC Uniboot OM5 Multimode Fiber is a compact duplex multimode fiber cable designed for high-density networking environments. It features LC Uniboot connectors that combine two fibers within a single, slim housing to simplify routing and reduce cable bulk. Intended for OM5 multimode networks, this cable supports short-range, high-speed links in data centres and enterprise installations while remaining compatible with standard LC ports.

Advantages

The LC Uniboot form factor reduces connector footprint and eases cable management in crowded panels and racks. Using OM5 multimode fiber provides improved modal performance for wavelength division multiplexing over short distances and is suitable for modern short-reach high-bandwidth applications. The duplex design delivers a single-cable solution for bidirectional links, simplifying installation and lowering the number of individual cables required.

Suitable for

• Data centre patch panels and high-density racks
• Enterprise network backbone and server connections
• Short-range high-speed links such as within campus or equipment rooms
• Environments with limited cable routing space

Key specifications

• Connector type: LC Uniboot duplex
• Fiber type: OM5 multimode fiber
• Polish and connector ferrule: standard multimode LC ferrule
• Duplex configuration: two fibers in a single slim connector housing
• Compatibility: fits standard LC ports and adapter panels
• Typical use range: short-reach multimode links

How to use

Install the duplex cable by inserting each LC Uniboot connector into the corresponding LC duplex port or adapter on networking equipment or patch panels—observe transmit and receive pair orientation as required by the connected devices. Route the cable through cable managers or trays to maintain bend radius and avoid sharp bends. Secure excess length with cable ties or Velcro straps and label both ends for easy identification during maintenance.

Recommendations

Maintain the recommended minimum bend radius for multimode fiber, keep connectors clean using appropriate fiber cleaning tools, and use dust caps when connectors are not in use. For best performance in high-density environments, pair this LC Uniboot OM5 cable with compatible OM5 patch panels and avoid tight bundling that may stress the cable assembly.
