BlueOptics CBL-NTWK-0720-BL cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand 3 m QSFP 4xSFP+ nero

The BlueOptics CBL-NTWK-0720-BL is a 3 m InfiniBand fibre optic cable that provides a QSFP connector on one end and four SFP+ connectors on the other, designed for high-speed data transmission in rack and data centre environments. Its construction supports parallel optical links and minimizes signal loss over short to medium distances, making it suitable for server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections where low latency and high throughput are required.

Advantages

This InfiniBand fibre optic cable offers multi-lane connectivity through a single QSFP interface, allowing aggregation of four SFP+ channels for simplified cabling and reduced port usage. The 3 m length balances reach and cable management within racks, while the cable’s durable jacket and connector housings protect against wear in dense installations. The design reduces electromagnetic interference and preserves signal integrity for reliable performance in critical networking applications.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch connections in data centres
• Top-of-rack and middle-of-row network cabling
• High-performance computing (HPC) clusters using InfiniBand interconnects
• Link aggregation or breakout configurations requiring QSFP to 4×SFP+

Key specifications

• Cable type: InfiniBand fibre optic cable with QSFP to 4×SFP+ configuration
• Length: 3 meters
• Connector 1: QSFP (quad small form-factor pluggable)
• Connector 2: Four SFP+ connectors
• Optical medium: multimode fibre suitable for short to medium reach parallel links
• Application: high-speed data transmission, low latency networking
• Jacket: durable outer sheath for rack and data centre environments

How to use

Install the cable by inserting the QSFP end into a compatible QSFP port on a switch or network adapter and connect the four SFP+ ends to the corresponding SFP+ ports on target devices. Ensure connectors are clean and aligned before insertion, and route the cable to avoid sharp bends or compression that could affect optical performance. Verify link status on the connected devices and confirm aggregation or breakout settings in the network configuration when using multi-lane or split-mode operation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep connector end-faces protected with dust caps until installation, avoid tight bends with a radius smaller than the manufacturer’s recommendation, and use appropriate cable management to prevent strain on connectors. Regularly inspect connectors and clean with proper fibre optic cleaning tools if signal degradation is observed.
