BlueOptics H-SFP+AOC7M-BO cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand 7 m connettore/connettore

The BlueOptics H-SFP+AOC7M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 7 m Male/Male is an active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ to SFP+ connectors designed for short-reach, high-speed links. At 7 metres length, it supports 10G-class transmission over multimode fibre with integrated transmitter and receiver modules in each connector, providing a direct plug-and-play connection between SFP+ ports in data center switches, storage systems and network equipment that follow MSA SFP+ standards.

Advantages

This 7 m AOC delivers consistent 10G performance for short-reach links while eliminating the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. The cable’s SFP+ form-factor ensures compatibility with devices that accept SFP+ modules and reduces cable clutter compared with bulkier solutions. Integrated optical transceivers at each end simplify installation and reduce insertion loss, and the multimode construction is suited to typical data centre environments where controlled distances and high port density are common.

How to use

Ensure both devices have compatible SFP+ ports and support active optical cables. Insert each SFP+ end of the BlueOptics AOC into the corresponding SFP+ slot until it latches. Verify link status on the connected equipment and configure interfaces as required by your network or storage system. No separate transceivers or fibre patch cords are required; handle the cable by the reinforced ends and avoid tight bends along the fibre section to maintain signal integrity.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short-reach 10G interconnects within the same rack or between adjacent racks. Maintain bend radii recommended for multimode AOC assemblies, avoid crushing or sharp kinks, and confirm device compatibility with SFP+ AOCs when integrating into existing hardware.
