BlueOptics QSFP28-100G-AOC-7M-H3-BO cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand 7 m verde menta

The BlueOptics QSFP28-100G-AOC-7M-H3-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 7 metre active optical cable engineered for high-speed data transfer in modern data centres and network infrastructures. With QSFP28 connectivity and a 100G electrical specification, the cable supports low-latency, high-throughput links between switches, servers and storage systems. The mint-coloured sheath provides a distinctive visual identifier to simplify cable management in dense racks and patch panels.

Advantages

This Active Optical Cable (AOC) offers consistent 100G performance over a 7 m reach while maintaining signal integrity and reduced electromagnetic interference compared to copper alternatives. The QSFP28 connector type ensures compatibility with a wide range of 100G ports and the pre-terminated design simplifies installation without field termination. The coloured outer jacket improves identification and reduces the risk of connectivity errors during maintenance.

Suitable for

• 100G InfiniBand links between servers and switches
• High-density data centre patching and spine-leaf architectures
• Short-reach high-bandwidth connections in storage and compute clusters
• Environments where cable colour-coding assists management and troubleshooting

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with QSFP28 connectors
• Nominal bandwidth: 100 Gigabit Ethernet / 100G class InfiniBand-compatible performance
• Length: 7 metres
• Jacket colour: mint (for visual identification)
• Connector form factor: QSFP28, hot-pluggable
• Typical use: short-reach, high-speed interconnects in racks and data centres

How to use

Ensure both ends of the network equipment support QSFP28-compatible 100G ports and that the devices are powered down or in a safe insertion state if recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Align the QSFP28 connector with the port keying and insert until the latch engages; confirm a secure mechanical connection. After connection, enable or configure the corresponding ports in your networking equipment according to vendor guidelines and monitor link status to verify proper operation. When removing the cable, release the latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the port or the connector.

Recommendations

Use this 7 m QSFP28 AOC for intra-rack and adjacent-rack 100G links where a balance of performance and easy cable management is required. Avoid tight bends and excessive tension on the cable; follow bend radius guidelines from the equipment provider to maintain signal quality. Keep connectors clean and protected when not in use to reduce the risk of contamination-related link issues.
