BlueOptics SFP3131FU4MK cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand 4 m LC

The BlueOptics SFP3131FU4MK is a 4 m InfiniBand fibre optic patch cord with duplex LC/UPC to LC/UPC connectors and OM4 (G50/125 µm) laser-optimized multimode fibre. Designed for short-range, high-speed data links, this magenta-coloured cable supports 850 nm transmission and is intended for interconnecting patch panels, optical transceivers and other multimode ports in data centres and networking environments. The cable features an LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) jacket for reduced smoke and no halogen release in fire situations.

Advantages

The OM4 multimode fibre provides low attenuation (approximately 2.5 dB/km) and a high return loss, enabling reliable 850 nm signal transmission over short distances. BlueOptics uses branded fibre and high-quality connectors with zirconia ceramic ferrules to ensure low insertion loss, consistent performance and up to 1500 mating cycles. Each cable is tested with interferometry and OTDR and delivered with a measurement protocol documenting input loss and return loss values. The LSZH jacket adds improved fire safety compared with standard PVC jackets.

How to use

Ensure both ends of the BlueOptics SFP3131FU4MK are clean before connection; use appropriate fibre cleaning tools or wipes. Align the duplex LC connectors with the corresponding duplex ports on patch panels, transceivers or switches and insert until a click indicates secure mating. Route the cable following rack and cable management practices to avoid tight bends and excessive mechanical stress. When disconnecting, depress the connector latch and withdraw straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, maintain minimum bend radius per manufacturer guidance, avoid contaminating connector end faces and verify link loss with appropriate test equipment after installation. Choose custom lengths when required to reduce excess slack and ensure neat routing inside racks and cabinets.
