Cambium Networks Access Point WiFi 6 Dual Radio per esterni

The Cambium Networks Outdoor Dual Radio WiFi 6 AP is an outdoor wireless access point designed to deliver IEEE 802.11ax performance in exterior environments. It supports simultaneous dual-band operation on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz with 2x2 MIMO to provide high-capacity wireless connectivity. With a maximum aggregated throughput up to 4.8 Gbps and an IP55 ingress protection rating, the device is intended for outdoor coverage where weather resistance and modern Wi‑Fi features are required.

Advantages

This outdoor dual radio WiFi 6 AP combines Wi‑Fi 6 efficiency and OFDMA capabilities with dual-band flexibility, enabling improved client density handling and lower latency compared with previous generations. The 2x2 MIMO radio configuration balances performance and power requirements for many deployment scenarios. The IP55-rated enclosure protects electronics from dust and rain, supporting reliable operation in typical outdoor conditions. Support for industry-standard IEEE 802.11ax ensures compatibility with modern client devices and access to advanced wireless features.

Suitable for

• Outdoor hospitality areas, terraces and cafes requiring public Wi‑Fi coverage
• Campus, park and municipal outdoor spaces needing managed wireless access
• Small to medium business outdoor coverage such as parking lots or service yards
• Temporary event connectivity where quick outdoor deployment is necessary

Key specifications

• Wireless standard: IEEE 802.11ax (Wi‑Fi 6)
• Operating bands: Dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
• Radio configuration: 2x2 MIMO
• Maximum aggregate throughput: up to 4.8 Gbps
• Ingress protection: IP55 rated enclosure
• Deployment type: Outdoor access point designed for wall or pole mounting

How to use

Install the access point in an elevated outdoor location with clear line-of-sight to the coverage area and secure it using the provided wall or pole mounting hardware. Connect to power and network using the recommended PoE or wired Ethernet connection according to the Cambium installation guide. Access the device management interface to configure SSIDs, security settings, radio parameters and network integration. Monitor performance and client associations through the management system and adjust channel and power settings to optimize coverage and capacity for the target area.

Recommendations

For best outdoor performance, position the access point above surrounding obstructions, maintain recommended separation from other radios to reduce interference, and use centralized management for firmware updates and configuration backups. Regularly inspect mounting hardware and cable seals to preserve the IP55 protection.
