Cavo di rete ShiverPeaks 08-64004 CAT 6 S/FTP PIMF, rigido/flessibile, 4 coppie, schermato

ShiverPeaks 08-64004 CAT 6 S/FTP PIMF network cable is designed for structured cabling and high-speed Ethernet applications. The cable contains four individually foil-shielded twisted pairs with an overall braided/foil shield to minimize electromagnetic interference and near-end crosstalk. It supports Gigabit Ethernet and is suitable for installations that require stable data transfer, PoE delivery and reliable backbone or horizontal links in professional environments.

Advantages

The S/FTP PIMF construction provides both individual pair shielding and an overall shield for improved signal integrity in electrically noisy environments. The cable is available in solid and stranded conductor options to match permanent installation or patching needs, offering flexibility for use in wall ducts, patch panels and patch cords. Designed to meet CAT 6 performance parameters, it supports higher bandwidths and consistent transmission quality for modern LANs and server room layouts.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) networks
• Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices and PoE++ applications
• Structured cabling backbones and horizontal runs
• Data centers, server rooms, and professional network installations

Key specifications

• Cable category: CAT 6
• Shielding: S/FTP PIMF (overall braided/foil shield + individual foil for each pair)
• Pairs: 4 twisted pairs
• Conductor options: solid and stranded
• Typical use: Ethernet, LAN, PoE, backbone and patch connections

How to use

Choose the appropriate conductor type (solid for fixed installations, stranded for patch cords) and route the cable avoiding strong EMI sources where possible. Terminate the cable on compatible CAT 6 connectors or patch panels following standard wiring schemes (T568A/T568B) and observe recommended bend radii to preserve performance. For patching, use shielded connectors and properly ground the shield to maintain overall shielding effectiveness.

Recommendations

Installers should ensure consistent grounding of the cable shield at patch panels or outlet boxes and maintain separation from high-voltage conductors to minimize interference. For optimal performance in Gigabit networks, keep run lengths within standard limits and use certified CAT 6 components throughout the link.
