Cavo di rete ShiverPeaks BS08-41016-2 0,5 m Cat8.1 F/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41016-2 0.5m Cat8.1 F/FTP networking cable is a short-length Ethernet connection designed for high-speed data links in confined installations. Compliant with Cat8.1 standards, the cable supports high-frequency transmission and is built with F/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference. The cable terminates in RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts to ensure reliable conductivity and resistance to corrosion, making it suitable for connecting switches, routers, servers, and network appliances where a compact, low-latency link is required.

Advantages

The F/FTP shielding combines an overall foil wrap with individual foil shielding around each twisted pair to minimize crosstalk and external interference, improving signal integrity over short runs. The Cat8.1 specification supports higher bandwidths and frequencies compared with earlier categories, enabling faster data transfer and lower latency for demanding network tasks. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts provide stable electrical contact and reduce oxidation, while the 0.5 m length offers neat, tidy cabling for rack-mounted equipment or desktop setups where excess cable is undesirable.

Suitable for

• Direct connections between networking equipment in server racks and network cabinets
• Short links between switches and routers in office environments
• High-speed uplinks for workstations, NAS devices, and media servers
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference and reliable signal quality

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat8.1
• Length: 0.5 m
• Shielding: F/FTP (overall foil + foil on each pair)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contacts: gold-plated
• Conductor type: twisted pair

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the Ethernet port of the source device (switch, router or computer) and the other plug to the destination device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Use the 0.5 m length to create tidy, short connections in racks or desktop arrangements; avoid sharp bends near the connectors and maintain gentle curvature along the cable to preserve performance. For installations in dense rack environments, route the cable alongside other shielded cables to maintain consistent grounding and shielding effectiveness.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat8.1 F/FTP cable for short-distance, high-bandwidth links and pair it with compatible Category-rated equipment. Avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines for extended distances and inspect connectors periodically for secure seating and cleanliness.
