Cavo di rete ShiverPeaks BS75210-500 grigio 500 m Cat5e F/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75210-500 Grey 500m Cat5e F/UTP is a 500-meter network cable engineered for structured cabling installations that require consistent data transmission. Constructed to Cat5e specifications with Foiled U/UTP shielding, this cable offers a balance between performance and cost for local area networks, VoIP, and internet access. The grey jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for visible and concealed installations in homes, offices, server rooms, and wiring closets.

Advantages

F/UTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference from nearby electrical equipment and cable bundles, improving signal integrity over longer runs. The Cat5e category supports reliable 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet performance in typical network deployments. A 500 m length on a single reel minimizes joins and simplifies installation planning. The cable's outer sheath is designed for flexibility during routing while maintaining adequate mechanical protection for everyday handling.

Suitable for

• LAN installations in small and medium offices
• Home networking and smart home device connections
• Patch cabling between switches, patch panels, and wall outlets
• VoIP phone systems and IP surveillance camera feeds

Key specifications

• Category: Cat5e performance standard
• Shielding: Foiled overall (F/UTP) to limit external interference
• Length: 500 meters on a single reel
• Color: Grey outer jacket
• Conductor type: Twisted pair copper conductors
• Suitable for: 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T Ethernet applications

How to use

Plan the cable run to avoid sources of strong electromagnetic interference and to respect bend radius limits during routing. Measure and cut the required length from the 500 m reel, strip the outer jacket and prepare individual twisted pairs for termination. Terminate the cable on compatible RJ45 connectors, keystone jacks, or patch panels following the T568A or T568B wiring scheme used in your network. Test each run with an appropriate cable tester to verify continuity, pair integrity, and shielding performance before finalizing installation.

Recommendations

For best results, maintain separation from high-voltage power lines, avoid sharp bends, and use proper grounding for shielded components. Use connector types and patch panels rated for shielded cabling to preserve the F/UTP effectiveness. In environments with significant interference or longer runs, consider higher category or individually shielded cable types.
