Cavo in fibra ottica BlueOptics BPAG-BO InfiniBand SN LC OM4 3 m rosa

The BlueOptics BPAG-BO InfiniBand SN-LC OM4 fibre optic cable is a 3 m multimode patch cable designed for high-speed optical links. It features an SN (SN/UPC) connector on one end and an LC (LC/UPC) connector on the other, uses OM4 laser-optimized multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter, and comes in a distinctive pink jacket with LSZH flame-retardant sheathing. The cable is intended for connecting patch panels, optical transceivers and other InfiniBand or Ethernet optical ports where low attenuation and reliable return loss are required.

Advantages

This OM4 3 m patch cable provides low insertion loss and high return loss values for interference-minimized signal transmission. The use of laser-optimized multimode fibre and precision ceramic ferrules helps ensure stable, repeatable connections and durability up to typical mating cycle expectations. The LSZH jacket reduces halogen release and smoke generation in the event of fire and the coloured pink jacket facilitates cable identification and neat rack management.

How to use

Inspect both connectors and the transceiver or patch panel ports for dust and debris before connecting. Align the SN connector and the LC connector with the corresponding ports and insert gently until a secure fit is achieved. Avoid sharp bends; maintain the manufacturer's recommended minimum bend radius for OM4 multimode fibre to prevent increased attenuation or mechanical damage. For removal, press any release mechanism on the connector housing (if present) and withdraw straight out to avoid stressing the fibre.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep connector end-faces clean using appropriate fibre cleaning tools and verify end-to-end loss with a calibrated test instrument where precise optical budgets are required. Store and route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain; replace any cable that shows signs of connector damage or excessive insertion loss.
