Cavo in fibra ottica BlueOptics NM7902QD116002M-BO SN LC OM4 2 m nero rosa bianco

The BlueOptics NM7902QD116002M-BO is a 2 m InfiniBand fibre optic cable with SN to LC terminations designed for high-density networking and high-performance computing environments. Constructed using OM4 multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter, this cable supports high-speed data transmission and low attenuation over short to medium distances. Available in Black, Pink and White, the cable combines colour options for easy identification with InfiniBand-compatible connectors for reliable interconnects in racks, switches and server arrays.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre cable provides consistent multimode performance suitable for demanding data center applications. The SN and LC connectors offer secure, low-loss mating with InfiniBand and LC-compatible ports, while the 2 m length covers typical rack-to-rack or equipment-to-equipment runs without excess slack. The 50 µm core diameter and OM4 specification support higher modal bandwidth and improved signal integrity compared with earlier multimode grades, reducing the need for repeaters or additional signal conditioning in many deployments.

How to use

Route the 2 m cable between the two intended ports, ensuring connectors are free of dust and seated firmly into SN and LC ports. For best performance, avoid tight bends and maintain the cable's minimum bend radius; secure the cable along rack management paths to prevent strain on connectors. If necessary, label ends by colour or rack location to simplify future maintenance and replacement.

Recommendations

Inspect connector endfaces with a fibre inspection tool before connection to prevent contamination-related losses. Use the cable for short to medium multimode runs within racks or between adjacent racks, and store unused cables in a manner that preserves the bend radius and protects connectors from dust and damage.
