Cavo in fibra ottica BlueOptics SFP3133GU2MK LC ST OM5 2 m lime

The BlueOptics SFP3133GU2MK LC ST OM5 2 m Lime is a 2‑metre multimode fibre optic patch cable designed for reliable, high‑speed data transmission in modern network environments. It features LC and ST connectors and OM5 graded multimode fibre to support full‑duplex communication and high bandwidth applications. The lime-coloured jacket provides easy visual identification in cabling bundles while the cable’s construction aims to deliver consistent optical performance and durable mechanical resistance for rack and patch‑panel installations.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides stable optical transmission with low attenuation suitable for short‑reach high‑density installations. The combination of LC and ST connectors increases interoperability with a range of transceivers and legacy equipment. OM5 multimode fibre supports wideband applications and can improve system design flexibility where higher modal bandwidth is required. The 2 m length is convenient for connections between adjacent racks, panels and active devices while the bright lime jacket simplifies management and identification in crowded cable routes.

How to use

Before connecting, ensure both ends and the equipment ports are free from dust or debris; clean connectors with appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Plug the LC connector into the matching LC port and the ST connector into the matching ST port, taking care not to exceed the cable’s bend radius. Secure the cable in place with existing cable management to avoid strain on the connectors. Verify link status on connected devices and, if required, test optical loss to confirm acceptable performance for the intended application.

Recommendations

Store and route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress, maintain connector cleanliness for optimal signal quality, and use the lime jacket as a visual cue when organizing multimode fibre runs. For mission‑critical links, perform insertion loss and continuity tests after installation and periodically as part of preventive maintenance.
