Cavo in fibra ottica BlueOptics SFP9231FU5MK MDC LC OM4 5 m magenta

The BlueOptics SFP9231FU5MK MDC LC OM4 5 m Magenta is a 5-metre fibre optic patch cord engineered for high-bandwidth multimode connections. It uses OM4 laser-optimized multi-mode fibre (G50/125 µm) to support 850 nm transmission, and features a duplex MDC/UPC connector on one end and an LC/UPC connector on the other. The cable comes in magenta with an LSZH flame-retardant jacket and is intended for reliable interconnection of patch panels, optical transceivers and InfiniBand equipment.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre cable provides improved bandwidth and reduced modal dispersion for short-range, high-speed links. The duplex MDC to LC configuration supports full-duplex data transmission and simplifies connection between different form-factor transceivers and patch panel ports. The LSZH jacket reduces smoke and toxic gas emission in case of fire, and the magenta colour helps with visual identification in dense cabling environments.

How to use

Inspect connectors and ports for debris before insertion. Align and insert the MDC connector into the corresponding duplex receptacle and the LC connector into the LC port on the transceiver or patch panel until they click into place. Ensure both ends are firmly seated and avoid tight bends; maintain the manufacturer’s recommended minimum bend radius for OM4 multimode fibre. When disconnecting, release the connector latches and pull straight out to avoid stressing the fibre.

Recommendations

Use this 5 m OM4 MDC–LC duplex cable for short-reach, high-speed links at 850 nm. Store and route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain; label both ends for easy identification in cabling racks. For critical links, clean connectors with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before mating to ensure optimal performance.
