Cavo in fibra ottica EFB Elektronik LC-SC 50/125µ InfiniBand 0,5 m rosa

The EFB Elektronik LC-SC 50/125µ InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 0.5 m OM4 duplex patch cable designed for high-bandwidth, short-reach links. With a 50 µm multimode core and LC to SC terminations, the cable supports full-duplex InfiniBand connections and is suitable for data centre and high-performance computing environments where low loss and consistent signal integrity are required. The pink jacket provides easy visual identification within cable bundles and racks.

Advantages

This OM4 multimode fibre cable offers low attenuation and high bandwidth capability for short-distance, high-speed links. The LC and SC connectors provide stable mechanical performance and straightforward mating with standard ports. The 0.5 m length reduces excess cable slack, improving airflow and cable management in dense installations. The coloured jacket helps with rapid identification and reduces the risk of mispatching.

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Length: 0.5 m
• Connector types: LC (one end) to SC (other end)
• Mode: Full duplex
• Typical use: Short-reach, high-bandwidth links (InfiniBand)
• Jacket colour: Pink

How to use

Inspect connectors for dust or damage before installation and, if necessary, clean connector end-faces with a suitable fibre cleaning tool. Plug the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the SC port until secure; ensure proper orientation and a gentle, straight insertion to avoid bending the fibre. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer-recommended minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. Verify the link using appropriate testing equipment or host diagnostics to confirm signal integrity and data throughput.

Recommendations

Use this 0.5 m OM4 LC–SC cable for short, point-to-point InfiniBand links where clear visual identification is beneficial. Store and handle the cable in a dust-free environment, and perform regular inspection of connector end-faces to maintain optimal performance. For longer distances or single-mode requirements, select an appropriate cable type matched to system specifications.
