Cavo in fibra ottica EFB Elektronik O0948.3 3m LC giallo

The EFB Elektronik O0948.3 is a 3 m fibre optic patch cable with LC connectors at both ends and G.657.A2 single-mode fibre. It provides the shortest link between a passive cabling port and an active network port or between two active ports. The cable is yellow for easy identification in structured cabling installations and is suitable for use in data centres and network environments where single-mode connections are required.

Advantages

The cable uses G.657.A2 fibre for improved bend performance compared with standard single-mode types, reducing signal loss in tight routing paths. LC connectors on both ends offer a compact duplex interface commonly used in modern network equipment. The 3 m length balances flexibility and neat cable management while maintaining low insertion loss typical for patch cables.

Suitable for

• Connecting optical ports in data centres
• Linking switches, transceivers and patch panels
• Point-to-point single-mode links within network racks

Key specifications

• Fibre type: G.657.A2 single-mode
• Connector type: LC – LC duplex
• Length: 3 m
• Colour: yellow

How to use

Route the cable between the required optical ports, avoiding sharp bends and tight compression. Align and insert the LC connectors into the corresponding ports until they click. Ensure both ends are clean before connection to minimise insertion loss; use appropriate dust caps when the cable is not in use.

Recommendations

Inspect connector endfaces with a fibre inspection tool and clean with approved wipes or cleaning sticks before installation. Maintain bend radii according to G.657.A2 guidance and secure the cable to avoid strain on connectors.
