Cavo in fibra ottica EFB Elektronik O2513.2 2 m SC giallo

The EFB Elektronik O2513.2 2 m SC Yellow is a single-mode OS2 fibre optic patch cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission in structured networks. With SC connectors on both ends and a 9 µm core diameter, this 2 metre cable supports full duplex links and is suitable for backbone, server room and telecommunication connections where low attenuation and stable optical performance are required.

Advantages

This single-mode OS2 cable provides low insertion loss and stable signal quality over its length. The standardized SC connectors ensure easy, tool-free mating with compatible ports and patch panels. The 2 m length offers a compact connection solution for close rack-to-rack, switch-to-patch panel or equipment-to-equipment runs, while the yellow jacket allows quick visual identification in mixed-cable environments.

Key specifications

• Fibre type: single-mode OS2
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC (both ends)
• Length: 2 m
• Jacket colour: yellow
• Transmission: full duplex

How to use

Inspect the SC connector endfaces for cleanliness before installation and clean with an appropriate fibre cleaning tool if required. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for single-mode fibre to prevent increased attenuation. Insert each SC connector into the matching SC port until it latches, ensuring correct orientation. Verify the optical link with appropriate testing equipment or by checking network link status indicators.

Recommendations

Store and handle the fibre cable in a dry environment away from direct sunlight and chemicals. Use strain relief where the cable exits racks or panels, avoid tight coils, and perform endface inspection and cleaning as part of routine maintenance to ensure optimal optical performance.
