Cavo in fibra ottica EFB Elektronik O2561.1 1 m SC giallo

The EFB Elektronik O2561.1 1 m SC Yellow is a single-mode OS2 fibre optic cable with SC connectors on both ends and a 9 µm core diameter. Designed for point-to-point and patching applications, this 1 metre trunk provides full duplex capability and is colour-coded yellow for straightforward identification in structured cabling environments. The cable is intended for indoor use within communication closets, patch panels and equipment-to-equipment connections where single-mode performance is required.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable delivers low attenuation and consistent single-mode performance suitable for long-distance and high-bandwidth links. The SC connectors provide reliable push-pull coupling with low insertion loss, while the standard 1 m length simplifies short patching and neat rack management. The yellow jacket offers immediate visual identification, reducing installation errors and improving cable organization in dense arrays.

Suitable for

• Indoor patch panels and rack-to-rack connections
• Server cabinet and switch uplinks requiring single-mode OS2 fibre
• Data centres and telecommunications equipment interconnects
• Test setups and lab environments where short single-mode jumpers are needed

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Single-mode (OS2)
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC (both ends)
• Length: 1 metre
• Polarity: Full duplex (two-fibre duplex assembly)
• Jacket colour: Yellow
• Typical use environment: Indoor, structured cabling and equipment rooms

How to use

Route the cable through cable management pathways and connect the SC connectors to compatible SC ports on transceivers, patch panels or network equipment. Ensure connectors are clean before mating to avoid contamination-related signal loss. Secure the cable with appropriate cable ties or organisers to prevent strain on the connector ends and maintain bend radii recommended for single-mode fibre. For duplex operation, match transmit and receive channels according to the equipment polarity.

Recommendations

Inspect and clean SC connector endfaces with approved fibre cleaning tools before installation; maintain minimum bend radius and avoid sharp kinks; store and label cables to preserve identification and facilitate future maintenance.
