Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics CBL-501-BO 1 m QSFP28 aqua

The BlueOptics CBL-501-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 1 m QSFP28 Aqua is a 1-metre active optical cable with QSFP28 to QSFP28 male connectors designed for high-speed data transmission in data centres and networking equipment. Built to MSA-compatible QSFP28 form-factor standards, this BlueOptics cable supports 100G-class short-reach multimode optical links and integrates transmitter and receiver modules at each end to transfer optical signals over multimode fibre.

Advantages

This BlueOptics AOC combines a pre-terminated QSFP28 to QSFP28 connection with an aqua-coloured multimode fibre jacket for easy identification and installation. As an active optical cable, it eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patchcords, reducing insertion loss and simplifying cabling. The cable includes built-in digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM/DOM) functionality for real-time monitoring of parameters such as supply voltage, optical transmit power, receive power and temperature when supported by host hardware.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics CBL-501-BO by inserting each QSFP28 connector into compatible QSFP28 sockets on your switches, routers or servers. Ensure the host devices support QSFP28 AOCs and any DDM/DOM monitoring you intend to use. Handle the cable by the connector housings, avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius specified by QSFP28 cable guidelines to preserve optical performance. No separate transceivers or patchcord terminations are required.

Recommendations

Verify hardware compatibility with QSFP28 AOCs and, where available, enable DDM/DOM monitoring in the host device for real-time diagnostics. Use the 1 m length for intra-rack or adjacent-rack connections and store or route the cable to avoid tight bends or mechanical strain that could affect performance.
