Cavo SFP+ BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-MR-BO 25m connettore/connettore

The BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-MR-BO is a 25-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ male connectors at both ends, designed to provide reliable 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity between compatible SFP+ ports. Constructed for use in data centres and high-performance network environments, this AOC delivers low-latency, high-bandwidth transmission over a lightweight, flexible fibre assembly that eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cables.

Advantages

This active optical cable supports 10 Gbit/s data rates with consistent signal integrity over the full 25 m length and reduces installation complexity by integrating optical transceiver functionality into the cable ends. The fibre construction offers immunity to electromagnetic interference, a compact form factor, and lower power consumption compared with some optical link alternatives. The male-to-male SFP+ interface ensures hot-pluggable compatibility with standard SFP+ ports on switches, servers and storage devices.

Suitable for

• Short- to mid-range interconnects in data centres and server racks
• Switch-to-switch and switch-to-server connections requiring 10GbE bandwidth
• High-performance computing clusters and storage area networks
• Environments where EMI immunity and reduced cabling weight are important

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ male to SFP+ male
• Length: 25 metres
• Data rate: 10 Gbit/s (10GbE)
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Transmission medium: multimode optical fibre with integrated transceiver electronics
• Typical use: Direct SFP+ port interconnection

How to use

Power down is not required for hot-pluggable SFP+ ports in most systems; insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ slot until it latches. Verify link status on the connected devices and configure port speed and duplex settings if necessary. Ensure the cable is routed to avoid sharp bends and tight bundles that could stress the fibre assembly. For optimal performance, keep connectors clean and protected from dust during installation and maintenance.

Recommendations

Use this 25 m SFP+ AOC for direct 10GbE connections within racks or between adjacent racks where a fixed-length, low-latency optical link is required. Avoid exceeding the specified bend radius, and store spare cables in protective sleeves to maintain connector cleanliness and fibre integrity.
