Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics SFP3131GU2MK 2 m LC OM5

The BlueOptics SFP3131GU2MK InfiniBand fibre optic cable 2 m LC OM5 is a duplex multimode cable designed for high-speed data transmission in modern network environments. It features LC connectors on both ends and OM5 graded multimode fibre with a 125 µm core diameter, providing reliable signal quality and compatibility with InfiniBand transceivers and switches. The 2 metre length offers a balance between reach and cable management for rack and cabinet deployments.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre cable supports duplex communication and is built to maintain low attenuation and high bandwidth over short to medium distances typical of data centres. LC connectors provide secure, compact connections compatible with a wide range of network equipment. The cable construction prioritises signal integrity and compatibility with InfiniBand systems, making it suitable where consistent low-latency links are required.

How to use

Install the cable by inserting the LC connectors into the corresponding LC ports on your InfiniBand transceivers or switches until they click into place. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer-recommended minimum bend radius for OM5 fibre. Ensure both ends are clean before connection to prevent signal degradation. For removal, depress the connector latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule or connector housing.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this OM5 duplex cable within data centre patching practices: keep cable lengths appropriate to the required link budget, secure cables with proper management accessories, and use fibre cleaning tools to maintain connector endface quality. Verify compatibility with the InfiniBand equipment vendor’s guidelines for multimode fibre links.
