Cavo in fibra ottica LOGON AL5SCSC05I/4I OM4 5 m 2x SC su 2x SC (rosa)

LOGON AL5SCSC05I/4I OM4 5 m fibre optic cable with 2x SC to 2x SC connectors is a multimode patch cable designed for short-range, high-bandwidth links. With a 50 µm core OM4 fibre construction and industry-standard SC termini on both ends, this 5-metre cable supports high-speed data transmission in data centres, server rooms and network equipment interconnects. The pink jacket improves visual identification and cable management in dense installations.

Advantages

The OM4 multimode design provides higher modal bandwidth for improved performance over standard multimode types, enabling reliable transmission for 10 Gbps and higher short-reach applications. Pre-terminated SC connectors ensure consistent optical contact and quick connection without field termination. The 5 m length balances flexibility and signal integrity for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-equipment links, while the coloured jacket simplifies tracing and organisation.

Suitable for

• Short-range links in data centres and server rooms
• Interconnects between switches, routers and storage arrays
• InfiniBand or fibre channel connections requiring OM4 multimode
• Patch panels and distribution frames where clear cable identification is needed

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode, 50 µm core
• Connector type: SC to SC on both ends
• Length: 5 metres
• Jacket colour: pink for easy identification
• Application: short-range, high-bandwidth data links

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for dust or damage before installation and clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Route the cable between equipment or through patch panels avoiding sharp bends and excessive tensile load; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. Insert the SC connectors into the corresponding SC ports until they click into place to establish the optical link. Confirm link status and optical power levels with suitable test equipment after installation.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a clean environment to prevent contamination of connector endfaces. Use dust caps when connectors are not mated and label both ends if used in complex cabling environments. For optimal performance in 10 Gbps and higher short-reach applications, keep runs within recommended OM4 distance limits and use appropriate transceivers rated for multimode OM4 fibre.
