Cavo in fibra ottica METZ CONNECT 151P7EAJA05E SC LC G.657.A2 0,5 m bianco

The METZ CONNECT 151P7EAJA05E SC–LC fibre optic cable is a 0.5 m patch lead designed for short-range connections within network racks, patch panels and active equipment. It uses a single-mode 9 µm core and complies with ITU-T G.657.A2 bend-insensitive fibre specifications. The cable type is I-V(ZN) H and the outer jacket is supplied in white, providing a compact, durable link between SC and LC interfaces for high-speed data transmission.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable offers low insertion loss and improved bend performance thanks to its G.657.A2 single-mode fibre, making it suitable for installations with tight routing paths. The SC to LC termination provides compatibility with a wide range of equipment and patch panels. Its short 0.5 m length reduces excess slack in dense cabling environments and the white jacket allows easy visual identification in mixed-colour cable bundles.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting patch panels and active devices in server rooms
• Short patching between network equipment in rack-mounted systems
• Optical distribution frame connections where SC and LC ports are used
• Environments requiring bend-insensitive single-mode links

Key specifications

• Connector A: SC
• Connector B: LC
• Fibre type: Single-mode, G.657.A2
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Cable length: 0.5 m
• Cable construction: I-V(ZN) H
• Outer colour: White

How to use

Handle the cable by the connectors and avoid kinking the fibre during installation. Insert the SC connector into the corresponding SC adapter or port until it clicks, and insert the LC connector into the LC port with the latch engaged. Route the cable along existing cable management paths to prevent excessive bending; maintain minimum bend radii recommended for G.657.A2 fibre to preserve optical performance. For equipment changes, disconnect by depressing the LC latch and pulling the SC connector straight out of its adapter.

Recommendations

Use this short SC–LC patch cable for tidy, low-loss connections within racks and patch panels. Keep dust caps on connectors when not in use and clean connector endfaces before mating to ensure reliable signal transmission.
