Cavo in fibra ottica METZ CONNECT 151P1JAJA50E LCD LC/APC OS2 5 m giallo

The METZ CONNECT 151P1JAJA50E is a 5 m single-mode fibre optic patch cable with LC/APC connectors and OS2 fibre type. Designed for reliable high-speed data links, this yellow-jacketed cable provides low attenuation and stable optical performance suitable for professional network and data centre environments. Precision-polished LC/APC terminations reduce back reflection and support applications requiring high signal integrity.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable combines OS2 single-mode performance with LC/APC connectors to deliver minimal signal loss and low return loss. The 5 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-equipment connections while the durable yellow outer jacket increases visibility and mechanical protection. Engineered terminations and consistent fibre geometry ensure repeatable, long-term optical performance in structured cabling systems and InfiniBand deployments.

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OS2 single-mode
• Connector type: LC/APC to LC/APC
• Cable length: 5 m
• Outer jacket colour: Yellow
• Typical use: Patch cable for rack and equipment interconnects

How to use

Inspect connectors and ports before mating to ensure cleanliness; use appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Align the LC/APC connectors with the device ports and insert gently until secure. Avoid sharp bends and maintain recommended bend radius to prevent increased attenuation. When routing the cable, secure it with cable management accessories to prevent strain on connectors and transceivers.

Recommendations

Store and install the cable in a dust‑controlled environment when possible, keep protective dust caps on unused connectors, and perform insertion loss and return loss checks after installation to verify link performance.
