Cavo in fibra ottica MetzConnect 151P1EOJOA5E 15 m I-V(ZN) H G.657.A2 SC a LC giallo

MetzConnect 151P1EOJOA5E is a 15 m single‑mode fibre optic cable designed for reliable, low‑loss connections. The cable uses G.657.A2 single‑mode fibre with a 9 µm core diameter and an I-V(ZN) H jacket construction. It comes terminated with an SC connector on one end and an LC connector on the other, enabling compact, full‑duplex links between network equipment and fibre patch panels.

Advantages

The G.657.A2 fibre specification provides improved bend tolerance and reduced macrobending loss compared with older single‑mode types, making the cable suitable for routing in confined or curved pathways. The combination of SC and LC connectors allows compatibility with a wide range of switches, transceivers and patch panels while preserving a small footprint at one end. The yellow jacket and industry standard connector types simplify identification and installation in structured cabling environments.

Suitable for

• Network links between switches, routers and patch panels
• Telecommunications backbone and horizontal runs
• Data centre patching and equipment interconnects
• Environments with tight cable bends or limited space

Key specifications

• Cable length: 15 m
• Fibre type: single‑mode G.657.A2
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Jacket type: I-V(ZN) H
• Connector A: SC
• Connector B: LC
• Colour: Yellow
• Transmission: full duplex

How to use

Inspect connectors and fibre ends for cleanliness before making connections. Align and insert the SC connector into the SC adapter or socket and insert the LC connector into the corresponding LC adapter or port until secure. Route the cable along appropriate ducting or cable trays, avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension; the G.657.A2 fibre will tolerate tighter bends than older single‑mode fibres but standard bend‑radius practices should still be observed. Test the link after installation to verify continuity and loss values meet system requirements.

Recommendations

For best performance, clean connector endfaces with a suitable fibre cleaning tool before mating, maintain bend radii above manufacturer minimums for long‑term reliability, and protect connectors with dust caps when not in use. Use the SC to LC configuration where equipment or patch panels require mixed connector types, and label both ends to simplify maintenance and troubleshooting.
