Cavo in fibra ottica ROLINE InfiniBand 1 m 2x LC verde OM5 50 µm

The ROLINE InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 1m 2x LC Green OM5 50µm is a multimode fibre assembly designed for high-bandwidth, low-latency links in data center and enterprise networks. With two LC connectors and OM5-grade 50 µm core multimode fiber, the cable supports full-duplex transmission and is optimized for short- to medium-reach interconnects where high throughput and signal integrity are required.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable offers wide wavelength support and improved modal performance from the OM5 fiber, enabling better support for wavelength-division multiplexing in short-reach environments. The duplex LC termination provides compact, reliable connectivity with low insertion loss. The cable’s 1 meter length and green jacket color simplify routing and identification in dense cabling environments, while the multimode 50 µm core ensures compatibility with common multimode transceivers and active equipment.

Suitable for

• High-speed InfiniBand interconnects between servers and switches
• Short- to medium-distance links in data centers and server rooms
• Multimode fibre networks requiring compact LC duplex connectors
• Environments where wavelength multiplexing on multimode fiber is used

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: Duplex LC (2x LC)
• Length: 1 meter
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Jacket color: Green

How to use

Identify appropriate LC ports on the devices to be connected, ensuring the transceivers and equipment support multimode OM5 fiber. Gently insert each LC connector into the corresponding duplex port until it clicks into place. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress, keeping bend radius within manufacturer guidelines for multimode fiber. For removal, depress the LC latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule or connector. Use dust caps or clean connectors before mating to maintain signal quality.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use compatible OM5-capable transceivers and maintain proper fiber handling practices: avoid tight bends, keep connectors clean, and label green OM5 cables clearly in cable management systems. Verify link settings and transceiver compatibility when deploying the cable in InfiniBand or other high-speed environments.
