Cavo in fibra ottica S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77952/3 2 m

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN 77952/3 is a 2‑meter OM3 fibre optic cable with an LC connector on one end and an SC connector on the other. Designed for multimode fibre networks, it has a 50 µm core diameter and supports full duplex communication for high-speed, low-latency data transfer. The cable is intended for short- to mid-range links in structured cabling, data centres and audiovisual installations where reliable multimode performance is required.

Advantages

The OM3 specification and 50 µm core diameter enable high bandwidth and compatibility with multimode transceivers used in modern network equipment. Having LC and SC terminations offers flexible connectivity between devices with different port types while preserving signal integrity. The 2 m length balances reach and manageability in rack, patch panel and workstation scenarios. The cable construction ensures stable optical transmission and reduces insertion loss when properly installed.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting network equipment in data centres and server rooms
• Patching between patch panels and switches with LC or SC ports
• Short to medium distance links in enterprise LAN and campus networks
• AV signal distribution and fibre-based media converters

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode OM3
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connectors: LC on one end, SC on the other
• Length: 2 m
• Communication: Full duplex

How to use

Identify the LC and SC ports on your devices or patch panels and align the connectors before insertion to avoid damage to the ferrules. Insert the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the SC port until they click or seat firmly. Avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the equipment or industry guidance when routing the cable. For permanent or critical links, inspect connector endfaces and clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before connecting to minimise insertion loss and back reflection.

Recommendations

Store and route the cable away from sources of mechanical strain and EMI; use labeled patching and secure cable management in racks to maintain signal quality and simplify maintenance. For distance or performance requirements beyond OM3 multimode limits, verify transceiver and link budget compatibility or consider singlemode alternatives.
