EXTRALINK cavo patch Ethernet piatto Cat.8 U/FTP 1m 40G bianco

In a busy office, a network engineer needs to connect a high-speed NAS to a 40G switch over a short distance without cable clutter. This 1-metre flat Cat.8 patch cable delivers reliable 40 Gbps throughput while lying discreetly under carpet or along baseboards. Its white jacket blends into light-coloured interiors, and the shielded twisted-pair construction with bare copper conductors ensures signal integrity even near power lines.

Key specifications

• Category 8 (Cat.8) U/FTP cable, 1 metre length
• Supports data rates up to 40 Gbps and 2000 MHz bandwidth
• Flat, shielded, foiled twisted pair (U/FTP) design with bare copper conductors
• White PVC jacket for easy identification and aesthetic integration
• RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts, suitable for 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T
• Backward compatible with Cat.7a, Cat.7, Cat.6a, Cat.6, Cat.5e, Cat.5

Why choose it

This cable is built for high-density, high-speed networking where space and performance matter. The flat profile reduces tangling and allows clean routing under carpets or along walls. U/FTP shielding (each pair individually foiled) minimises alien crosstalk, ensuring stable 40G links. Bare copper conductors provide superior conductivity compared to copper-clad aluminium, reducing resistance and heat. The white colour is ideal for modern offices, healthcare facilities, or home setups where black cables would stand out.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting servers to top-of-rack switches in data centres
• Linking high-performance workstations to 10G/25G/40G network adapters
• Short-distance backbone connections between network devices in offices
• Home or office setups requiring discreet, high-speed cabling

Good to know

The cable meets Cat.8 specifications as defined by ANSI/TIA-568.2-D, supporting frequencies up to 2 GHz. It is constructed with 4 individually shielded twisted pairs (U/FTP) and a durable PVC jacket. The flat design is approximately 2.1 mm thick, making it easy to hide. Each cable is individually tested for performance. Please note that 40 Gbps speed is achievable up to 30 metres per Cat.8 standard, but this 1-metre length ensures maximum headroom.
