Why choose it

This lens combines true macro capability with cine-grade mechanics. The long 270° focus throw allows for extremely fine control, essential when working at high magnifications. The 11-blade aperture produces pleasing out-of-focus highlights, and the consistent 0.8 MOD gear pitch means it fits standard cine accessories without adapters. Weather sealing ensures reliable performance in challenging environments.

Ideal use cases

• Macro cinematography for nature, product, and food films
• Detail shots in feature films and commercials
• Documentary work requiring close-up storytelling
• Scientific and medical imaging with precise focus control

Good to know

The lens is designed for manual focus operation, as expected in cine lenses. The metric focus scale is ideal for productions using metric measurements. The 86mm filter thread allows the use of standard filters, while the 95mm front diameter fits common matte boxes. The lens is compatible with L-mount cameras from Panasonic, Sigma, Leica, and others, covering full-frame sensors and also usable on Super35/APS-C with a crop factor.
