In data centers and high-density server rooms, network administrators need a patch cable that can handle 40 Gigabit Ethernet without signal loss. The IT-BUDGET Cat.8.1 patch cable delivers exactly that, with a flexible full copper design that is easy to route in tight spaces. At 5 meters in red, it stands out for quick identification while maintaining top performance.

Key specifications

• Category: Cat.8.1 (2000 MHz bandwidth)
• Data rate: 40 Gbit/s
• Conductor: Full copper, AWG 26, flexible
• Shielding: S/FTP (screened foiled twisted pair)
• Jacket: Halogen-free (LSZH)
• Length: 5 m
• Colour: Red
• Connectors: RJ45, gold-plated
• PoE support: PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at)

Why choose it

This cable is built for high-speed networking where reliability is critical. The full copper conductors ensure excellent conductivity and support for PoE+ devices, while the S/FTP shielding minimizes crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. The halogen-free jacket is safer in case of fire, emitting low smoke and no toxic halogens.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting servers to switches in data centers
• High-speed workstation connections requiring 40 Gbps
• PoE+ devices such as IP cameras and access points
• Structured cabling in office buildings with strict fire safety requirements

Good to know

The cable is backward compatible with Cat.6a, Cat.6, Cat.5e, and Cat.5 networks, so it can be used in existing installations. Its flexible design makes it easy to install in cable management systems without kinking.
