Lindy 15m OM3 LC - SC duplex cavo InfiniBand/fibra ottica turchese

The Lindy 15m OM3 LC - SC Duplex fibre optic cable is designed for high-speed data transmission in structured networks and data centre environments. Constructed with OM3 multimode fibre (50 µm core diameter) and terminated with an LC connector on one end and an SC connector on the other, this 15-metre duplex cable enables simultaneous bidirectional communication and low-loss signal transfer over moderate distances. The cable is suitable for patching, linking active equipment and connecting optical interfaces where multimode OM3 performance is required.

Advantages

This OM3 LC–SC duplex cable provides consistent multimode performance with reduced modal dispersion for improved bandwidth compared with lower-grade multimode variants. The LC and SC connectors are factory-terminated and polished for repeatable low insertion loss and reliable mechanical mating. A 15 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack connections and intermediate equipment placements while maintaining stable optical parameters. The cable jacket and connector booting are designed to withstand standard handling during installation and reconfiguration.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and horizontal backbone links
• Connecting switches, transceivers and optical network equipment with LC and SC ports
• High-speed multimode applications such as 10GbE over OM3
• Laboratory setups and testing where a 15 m duplex multimode link is required

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Configuration: Duplex
• Connectors: LC (one end) to SC (other end)
• Length: 15 metres
• Typical use: Multimode optical links for short to medium distances

How to use

Before installation, verify the port types on the devices to ensure compatibility with LC and SC connectors. Route the cable following existing cable management paths to avoid sharp bends and excessive stress; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the equipment vendor to preserve optical performance. Insert the connectors into the corresponding ports until they click or seat securely, ensuring dust caps are removed prior to connection and inspecting connector endfaces for contamination. For duplex operation, confirm the correct Tx/Rx orientation as required by the linked devices. When disconnecting, use the connector release mechanisms rather than pulling the cable jacket.

Recommendations

Store unused cable length coiled loosely and protected from dust. Clean connector endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before making permanent connections. For installations requiring longer reach or single-mode performance, select a cable with the suitable fibre type. Regularly inspect and clean connectors to maintain low insertion loss and reliable data transmission.
