Nvidia MFP7E20-N030 Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand 30 m MPO 2x MPO blu

The Nvidia MFP7E20-N030 InfiniBand Fibre Optic Cable 30 m MPO 2x MPO Blue is a 30-meter multi-mode fibre optic link with dual MPO male connectors on each end. Designed for high-density network environments, this cable supports InfiniBand data transmission and is intended for use in data centers and enterprise networks where low signal loss and consistent performance are required. The blue jacket provides visual identification to simplify cable management and organization in complex racks and patch panels.

Advantages

This multi-mode fibre cable offers a standardized MPO connector interface that enables compact, high-density connections and straightforward integration with InfiniBand equipment. The 30 m length covers longer runs between racks or across rooms without introducing excessive attenuation typical of very long single-mode runs. The dual MPO design supports parallel multi-channel transmission, reducing cabling complexity for aggregated links. The blue color coding aids rapid identification during installation and maintenance operations.

Suitable for

• Inter-rack or rack-to-rack connections in data centers
• High-speed InfiniBand networks and HPC clusters
• Fiber patching between switches, adapters and transceiver modules
• Environments requiring organized color-coded cabling for easy maintenance

Key specifications

• Length: 30 m
• Connector type: MPO male to MPO male (dual MPO)
• Fiber type: Multi-mode
• Color: Blue

How to use

Route the cable between equipment ports or patch panels ensuring gentle bends and no sharp kinks to preserve optical performance. Align MPO connectors with the receiver keying and push until the connector latches; confirm secure seating. When installing in racks or conduits, use proper strain relief and secure the cable to prevent movement. Avoid exceeding the minimum bend radius specified by the fibre manufacturer and keep connectors covered until connection to prevent contamination.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, clean MPO connectors with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before making connections and test the installed link with an optical tester compatible with multi-mode InfiniBand channels. Label both ends according to your rack and port scheme and maintain spare protective caps for unused ports. Consider routing through cable management trays to protect the 30 m run from mechanical stress and to preserve signal quality.
