Patch panel in fibra ottica rackmount BTR METZ CONNECT OpDAT 1U – connettori LC, grigio, 482,6×44,5×244,5 mm

The BTR rack-mount fiber optic patch panel METZ CONNECT OpDAT 1U with LC connectors is a compact 1U solution for organizing and protecting optical terminations in server rooms and telecommunications racks. Its grey metal housing accommodates standard 19-inch racks and provides a tidy, accessible front for LC duplex connections, enabling efficient patching and management of fiber networks. The depth and mounting dimensions support integration with common rack equipment while offering secure cable entry and internal routing for splices and pigtails.

Advantages

The patch panel offers centralized, durable protection for fiber connections and reduces signal risk by securing connectors and splices within a metal enclosure. Built for 1U rack mounting, it optimizes space in equipment cabinets and simplifies front-access patching. The use of LC connectors allows high-density termination while maintaining low insertion loss and predictable performance. The grey finish and standardized dimensions ensure compatibility with a wide range of racks and structured cabling environments.

Suitable for

• Data center rack fiber termination and patching
• Telecommunications and central office installations
• Structured cabling panels in server rooms and comms closets
• Splicing and pigtail storage with organized cable routing

Key specifications

• Form factor: 1U rack-mount
• Front connectors: LC duplex ports
• External dimensions (W×H×D): 482.6 × 44.5 × 244.5 mm
• Color/finish: grey metal housing
• Suitable for splice trays and internal cable management

How to use

Install the panel in a standard 19-inch rack occupying one rack unit. Route incoming fiber cables into the enclosure through the provided cable entry points, secure fibers to the internal management guides, and perform splicing or attach pigtails as required. Terminate the pigtails or patch cords to the LC duplex ports at the front. Verify connection integrity with appropriate optical test equipment and label ports for easy identification.

Recommendations

Use dust caps on unused LC ports, maintain a minimum bend radius for all fibers, and secure cables to prevent strain on splices and connectors. Regularly inspect and clean connector endfaces to maintain optimal optical performance.
