Presa Merten MEG2321-8029 CEE 7/3 grigio, IP44, 250 V, 16 A, 143×57×83 mm

Merten MEG2321-8029 is a wall-mounted socket outlet with a CEE 7/3 receptacle designed for use with CEE 7/4 plugs. The unit is finished in grey and provides IP44 splash protection, making it suitable for indoor locations where occasional moisture or splashes may occur. Rated for 250 V and 16 A, the socket supports standard household and light commercial appliances while its compact dimensions (143×57×83 mm) allow installation in confined spaces or on mounting boxes commonly used in building electrics.

Advantages

The socket offers a robust plastic housing with a protective cover to maintain IP44 ingress protection when not in use. Its CEE 7/3 receptacle ensures compatibility with common European grounded plugs (CEE 7/4), and the 16 A current rating accommodates a wide range of domestic electrical devices. The compact footprint simplifies installation on exposed walls or within service areas without requiring excessive clearance.

Suitable for

• Indoor wall-mounted power connections in kitchens, garages, and utility rooms
• Light commercial areas such as workshops and small retail spaces
• Locations where splash protection is required but full waterproofing is not necessary
• Retrofitting or replacing existing wall outlets with compatible mounting dimensions

After wiring, fix the unit in place, restore power, and test the outlet with an appropriate tester or a known-good appliance. Close the protective cover when the outlet is not in use to maintain IP44 protection.

Recommendations

Use a qualified electrician for installation and any maintenance. Do not expose the socket to direct water jets or prolonged immersion. Verify the connected equipment does not exceed the rated 16 A current and 250 V voltage. Periodically inspect the cover sealing and terminal connections to ensure continued safety and ingress protection.
