In a busy office, a network engineer unrolls this 10-meter black patch cable to connect a workstation to a wall outlet, ensuring a stable Gigabit link even in an environment with heavy electromagnetic interference. The ROLINE Cat.6 S/FTP PiMF cable is engineered for reliable, high-speed data transmission with full Power over Ethernet support, making it a go-to choice for professional network installations.

Key specifications

• Category 6 (Class E) performance, backward compatible with Cat.5e and Cat.5
• S/FTP shielding with PiMF (Pairs in Metal Foil) for superior noise immunity
• Supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for data and power over a single cable
• Data transfer rate up to 1 Gbps, bandwidth up to 250 MHz
• Length: 10 m, colour: black, snagless RJ45 male connectors

Why choose it

This patch cable delivers consistent Gigabit speeds and reliable PoE delivery, even in electrically noisy environments. The S/FTP construction with individually foil-shielded pairs and an overall braided screen minimises crosstalk and external interference, ensuring error-free transmissions. The snagless boot protects the locking tab during installation and removal, extending the cable's lifespan in high-traffic areas.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting computers, switches, routers, and patch panels in office networks
• Powering PoE devices such as IP cameras, VoIP phones, and wireless access points
• Structured cabling in data centres and server rooms where interference is a concern
• Longer patch connections up to 10 metres in work areas or equipment racks

Good to know

The cable uses stranded copper conductors for flexibility, making it easy to route through tight spaces. The PVC jacket is durable and suitable for indoor use. It complies with TIA/EIA 568B wiring standards for straight-through connections. ROLINE is a trusted brand for professional networking accessories, ensuring quality and performance.
