Cavo patch S/FTP Cat6 Dätwyler 21.05.0021 rosso 2m

The Dätwyler S/FTP Patch Cable Cat6 in red, 2 m, is a shielded Ethernet patch lead designed for structured cabling and local area networks. Constructed to Cat6 specifications with S/FTP shielding, the cable reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk while delivering high-speed data transmission. Its 2-meter length and flexible jacket allow for neat connections between switches, patch panels, routers and network devices in both home and office environments.

Advantages

S/FTP construction provides individual foil shielding for each twisted pair plus an overall braided shield, improving signal integrity in environments with potential electromagnetic interference. The Cat6 performance supports higher bandwidth and reliable gigabit Ethernet connections. The red jacket offers easy visual identification in patching fields and cable management systems. The cable is made for repeated handling and routing, balancing flexibility with mechanical durability.

Suitable for

• Connecting network devices in home and office LANs
• Patching between switches and patch panels in data cabinets
• Temporary setups and test benches where visual identification is useful
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference that require shielded cabling

Key specifications

• Cable category: Category 6 (Cat6)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + foil on individual pairs)
• Length: 2 meters
• Colour: Red
• Connector type: RJ45 on both ends
• Typical application: Gigabit Ethernet and structured cabling

How to use

Route the cable between the two network ports you intend to connect, avoiding sharp bends and tight staples that could damage the shielding or conductor geometry. Insert RJ45 plugs fully into the device ports until a click is heard to ensure proper engagement. For rack-mounted equipment, use cable management accessories to secure the cable and maintain bend radius. When disconnecting, depress the plug latch before withdrawing to prevent connector damage.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the cable run length within recommended limits for structured cabling and avoid running alongside power cables for long distances. In installations with significant electromagnetic sources, verify connector terminations and grounding of the patch panel or chassis to ensure shielding effectiveness.
