Cavo patch S/FTP Cat6 Dätwyler 21.05.0051 rosso 5 m

The Dätwyler S/FTP Patch Cable Cat6 in red, 5 meters long, is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for reliable transmission in structured cabling and patching applications. Built with screened foil around each twisted pair and an overall braid shield, this S/FTP Cat6 cable reduces crosstalk and electromagnetic interference to maintain stable signal integrity over the 5 m link. The red jacket provides clear visual identification for segmentation or fault-finding in patch panels and rack installations.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction offers improved protection against near-end crosstalk and external EMI compared with unshielded cables, supporting consistent throughput for Gigabit Ethernet applications. The Cat6 specification ensures performance up to 250 MHz for typical network environments, and the 5 m length is convenient for rack-to-equipment or workstation connections without excess cable slack. The colored outer jacket facilitates organized cabling layouts and quick identification in multi-cable environments.

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6 (performance to 250 MHz)
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall braid with individually foil-shielded twisted pairs
• Length: 5 m
• Conductor: stranded copper conductors for patch flexibility
• Connector type: 8P8C (RJ45) terminated on both ends
• Jacket color: red for easy identification

How to use

Route the patch cable between the two network ports you need to connect, ensuring connectors are fully inserted into the 8P8C sockets until they click. Avoid tight bends and sharp kinks near the connector ends; maintain a bend radius consistent with manufacturer recommendations to prevent damage to the internal pairs and shielding. When used in shielded installations, ensure the connected equipment and patch panels provide proper grounding to allow the cable shield to function effectively.

Recommendations

For best results, use this S/FTP Cat6 patch cable for short horizontal and equipment connections within racks or between active devices, keep runs under the specified maximum for Cat6 patching, and pair with compatible shielded connectors and grounded panels to preserve shielding benefits and maintain expected Gigabit performance.
