SALEWA Scarpe Mtn Trainer Mid GTX - Dark Denim/Black - UK 8.5 (42.5)

The SALEWA Mtn Trainer Mid GTX is a versatile, mid-cut hiking boot designed for alpine trekking, hiking, and via ferrata. Combining a 1.6mm suede leather upper with a highly wear-resistant fabric and a full 360° rubber rand, this boot offers exceptional durability and protection on rugged terrain. The GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining ensures reliable waterproofing while maintaining breathability, keeping your feet dry and comfortable during long days on the trail.

Advantages

Featuring the Vibram® WTC outsole with a self-cleaning tread pattern, the Mtn Trainer Mid GTX provides excellent grip on both wet and dry surfaces. The Bilight Midsole (dual-density EVA) offers optimal cushioning and stability, while the 11mm heel-to-toe drop (heel 31mm / toe 20mm) promotes a natural walking motion. The Salewa 3F System connects the heel, instep, and sole for a secure fit and improved support, and the Climbing Lacing system allows precise adjustment for a custom fit. The MFF+ (Multi Fit Footbed Plus) accommodates different foot shapes for enhanced comfort.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, pair these boots with gaiters in snowy or loose scree conditions. Break them in gradually on shorter hikes before tackling longer, more technical routes. Regular cleaning and reproofing will extend the life of the GORE-TEX® membrane.
