Wentronic Goobay 59583 Cavo patch in fibra ottica OS2 single-mode LC/APC a LC/APC, 0,5 m, LSZH, bianco

In FTTH deployments, a reliable optical link between the wall outlet and the ONT is essential for stable high-speed internet. This 0.5 m OS2 single-mode patch cable with LC/APC connectors ensures a low-loss, high-return-loss connection that maintains signal integrity in tight spaces. The white LSZH jacket blends into residential environments and offers safety in case of fire.

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OS2 single-mode (9/125 µm)
• Connectors: LC/APC to LC/APC, ceramic ferrule
• Length: 0.5 m
• Jacket: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), white
• Insertion loss: < 0.3 dB typical
• Return loss: > 60 dB typical
• Operating temperature: -20°C to +70°C
• Compliance: RoHS, CE

Why choose it

The angled polish (APC) of the connectors minimizes back reflections, which is critical for high-speed and long-distance optical networks. LSZH jacket reduces toxic smoke and corrosive gases in case of fire, making it suitable for residential and commercial buildings. The compact 0.5 m length reduces clutter and signal loss, ideal for connecting devices in close proximity.

Ideal use cases

• FTTH (Fiber To The Home) installations
• Connecting ONT/ONU to fiber wall outlets
• Data centers and telecom rooms requiring APC connectors
• High-speed internet and IPTV services

Good to know

OS2 fiber supports wavelengths from 1310 nm to 1550 nm and beyond, enabling future upgrades to higher speeds. The cable is simplex, meaning it has a single fiber strand, which is typical for bi-directional transmission using a single wavelength. Always handle connectors with care and use dust caps when not in use to maintain performance.
