Cavo SFP28 Direct Attach CBO SFP28-DAC-3M-IX-BL 3 m maschio-maschio 25 Gbit/s

BlueOptics SFP28 Direct Attach Cable SFP28-DAC-3M-IX-BL is a 3-metre copper twinax cable with male-to-male SFP28 connectors that supports 25 Gbit/s line rate for short-reach high-speed links. The cable is intended for direct connections between network switches, servers or network interface cards with SFP28 ports. It provides a compact, plug-and-play connection with low latency and an integrated connector housing designed for data centre and rack-mounted equipment.

Advantages

The direct attach cable delivers a cost-effective physical connection for 25 Gbit/s links without the need for optical transceivers. Its copper twinax construction offers low latency and predictable electrical performance for short-distance links. The male-to-male SFP28 ends ensure straightforward installation into compatible SFP28 ports and the 3 m length provides flexibility for typical rack and cabinet layouts. The cable is reusable and requires no additional configuration or calibration.

Suitable for

• Short-reach server-to-switch connections in racks and cabinets
• Top-of-rack and leaf-spine data centre interconnects
• Direct links between NICs and switches supporting SFP28
• High-performance computing clusters requiring low-latency cabling

Key specifications

• Data rate: 25 Gbit/s
• Length: 3 metres
• Connector type: male-to-male SFP28 twinax
• Cable medium: copper (twinax)
• Application: short-reach, direct-attach links
• Form factor: compact direct-attach cable for SFP28 ports

How to use

Insert each male SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the two devices to be connected until the latch engages. Ensure both devices are powered and configured to enable the 25 Gbit/s link; most compatible devices will detect the direct attach cable automatically and negotiate link parameters. Avoid sharp bends near the connector and route the cable to minimise mechanical strain. If the link does not establish, verify port compatibility, firmware settings and that the devices support fixed-rate 25 Gbit/s copper DACs.

Recommendations

Use this 3 m SFP28 direct attach cable for short, high-speed interconnects within the same rack or adjacent racks. Keep within recommended bend radius and avoid excessive pulling or repeated tight bends to preserve signal integrity and connector life. Verify compatibility with device firmware and port support for SFP28 DACs to ensure reliable operation.
