BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-4LC-OM4-15M-BO cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand MPO 4x LC 15 m

The BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-4LC-OM4-15M-BO is a 15 metre InfiniBand-compatible fibre optic patch cable with an MPO multi-fibre connector on one end and four LC duplex connectors on the other. Built with laser-optimized OM4 multimode fibre, this cable supports high-speed data transmission across extended distances typical in data centres, server rooms and high-density network environments. The cable is sheathed in LSZH material for reduced smoke and no halogen release in the event of fire and is manufactured to common industrial standards for fibre patch cabling.

Advantages

This cable provides low attenuation and high return loss thanks to premium multimode OM4 fibres and quality connector components. It is fully tested with interferometry and OTDR after production and supplied with measurement data for input loss and return loss. BlueOptics uses ceramic ferrules and branded fibre and connector parts to ensure durability and up to 1,500 mating cycles. The LSZH sheath reduces risk in enclosed spaces and the construction complies with relevant IEC and RoHS requirements.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between MPO patch panels and LC transceiver ports
• High-density data centre fibre infrastructure and top-of-rack connections
• Short- to medium-reach high-bandwidth links using OM4 multimode fibre
• InfiniBand and other high-speed networking environments

Key specifications

• Cable length: 15 metres
• Fibre type: OM4 multimode, laser-optimized
• Connector configuration: MPO (multi-fibre) to 4 × LC duplex
• Sheath: LSZH (low smoke, zero halogen)
• Tested for input loss and return loss; supplied with measurement protocol
• Manufactured to common industrial standards (IEC, RoHS compliance)

How to use

Connect the MPO end to an MPO-capable patch panel or cassette and plug the LC duplex connectors into the corresponding LC transceiver ports or patch panel ports. Ensure correct polarity and connector orientation when linking MPO to LC assemblies. Avoid sharp bends and maintain a safe bend radius during installation; secure the cable to cable management elements to prevent strain on connectors. Verify link performance after installation using appropriate optical test equipment if required.

Recommendations

Store and install the cable in controlled environments away from excessive heat, moisture and mechanical stress. Use compatible MPO cassettes or breakout panels to maintain correct fibre mapping and polarity. For critical links, retain the supplied measurement protocol and perform acceptance tests with an OTDR or loss test set to confirm expected attenuation and return loss values.
