BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-4LC-SMF-7M-BO cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand 7,5 m MPO 4x LC

The BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-4LC-SMF-7M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 7.5 m MPO 4x LC is a multimode-to-connector cable designed for high-density networking environments. Using G.657.A1 single-mode fibre, the cable provides low attenuation and improved bend performance compared with older single-mode types, supporting reliable full-duplex data transmission over a 7.5 metre length. The cable assembly features an MPO multi-fibre connector on one end and four LC connectors on the other, enabling compact trunking and easy breakout to LC interfaces commonly used in switches and transceivers.

Advantages

This cable offers enhanced bend-insensitive performance due to the G.657.A1 fibre type, which reduces signal loss in tight routing scenarios. The MPO to 4x LC breakout design provides space-efficient multiplexing with straightforward connection to LC ports, simplifying installation in patch panels and optical distribution frames. Full-duplex capability and single-mode transmission make the cable suitable for high-speed InfiniBand links and low-latency networking where consistent optical performance is required.

Suitable for

• High-density data centre trunking and breakout connections
• InfiniBand interconnects and high-speed server links
• Linking MPO backbone to LC-equipped switches or transceivers
• Environments requiring improved bend performance and compact cabling

Key specifications

• Cable length: 7.5 metres
• Fibre type: G.657.A1 single-mode (bend-insensitive)
• Connector A: MPO multi-fibre connector
• Connector B: 4 × LC connectors (quad breakout)
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Application: InfiniBand and high-speed optical links

How to use

Route the cable along the planned pathway, avoiding sharp bends and mechanical stress despite the improved bend tolerance. Connect the MPO end to the corresponding MPO port on a trunking module or cassette, ensuring correct polarity and alignment. Plug the four LC connectors into the matching LC ports on switches, transceivers or patch panels. Verify connections and perform optical testing or link validation according to your network procedures to confirm attenuation and signal integrity.

Recommendations

For best performance, handle the MPO connector with protective caps until installation, maintain minimum bend radii in accordance with G.657.A1 specifications, and use MPO cleaning tools and LC ferrule cleaners before mating. Label breakout LC connectors to preserve channel mapping and perform insertion loss and continuity tests after installation.
